SkyBlue Jet Aviation has preparatory,
initial, upgrade, and recurrent type rating
courses designed specifically for corporate pilots.
Multi-Engine and
Second in Command Course
The combined multi-engine
and second in command course leads to the
multi-engine class rating and a second in
command jet type rating on your FAA pilot
license. The course includes 30 hours of
groundschool, 5 hours of jet simulator time, and
11 hours of aircraft time (including 1 hour of
jet time).

Jet Transition Course
The Jet Transition Course is specifically
designed to allow the applicant to learn how to
deal with crew resource management, jet
operations, higher speeds, the quick acceleration,
and the heavier weight of the aircraft. This
course meets the requirements of the second in
command type rating and we offer a discount to
upgrade to the pilot in command type rating.

Type
Rating Courses
The separate initial type rating courses lead to either
the Pilot in Command or the Second in Command
type ratings.
The initial type
rating course prices
include ground school and 10 hours of simulator
time for the PIC courses and 5 hours of
simulator time the SIC courses, the FAA examiner
fees, and lease of the aircraft (up to 2.5 hours) for training and
FAA check-ride.

courses are approved by most major US insurance
companies. Call for special pricing for two or
more clients.
If you like to use your own
aircraft for training and check-ride, the
discount is $4,000 for the PIC type rating
course and the upgrade from SIC to PIC course.
The discount for the SIC type rating course and
recurrent course is $2,000.
The Single-Pilot
authorization for the CE-501, CE-551, CE-510S,
and CE-525S is an additional $500.
SkyBlue
Jet Aviation offers the Single-pilot waiver for
CE-500, CE-550, and CE-560 (not CE-501 and
CE-551) aircraft for an additional cost of
$3,500.
